Dame Helen Mirren Will Be Awarded Golden Globe Career Honor.
The distinguished British actress Helen Mirren, currently winner of an Oscar, several BAFTA honors, Globes trophies, multiple Emmy accolades, along with a Tony Award, is set to add another esteemed prize to her trophy case: the DeMille Globes' lifetime achievement award.

The actress, eighty, previously honored as a dame during 2003 and named a BAFTA fellow back in 2014, will pick up the accolade during a presentation January 8, just prior to the main Golden Globes take place, as part of a ceremony promoted by the Golden Globes as the Golden Eve event.
Additionally featuring the bestowal of the Globes’ Carol Burnett prize for small-screen contributions, whose winner is still to be revealed. Previous recipients included Viola Davis and Ted Danson.

We are deeply honored to bestow upon her this lifetime achievement honor.”
Professional Journey
Helen Mirren gained prominence back in the 70s with key roles in stage productions in the West End of London and with the Royal Shakespeare Company as well as in movies such as O Lucky Man!, Caligula & The Long Good Friday.
Back in the 90s, her lead performance in detective drama Prime Suspect expanded her audience even more. Additional notable movies comprise Excalibur, The Madness of King George, The Cook, the Thief, His Wife and Her Lover, Gosford Park and Calendar Girls.
She earned an Academy Award for her portrayal as Elizabeth II in the 2006 movie The Queen, a role she revisited in 2013 for The Audience, the stage production by Peter Morgan about the meetings between the queen and premier Margaret Thatcher, a performance for which she received a Tony Award back in 2015.
